Greenfoot Energy Solutions ’ new Moncton headquarters ref lects

a strong commitment to energy ef f iciency , electrif ication , and

low - carbon design , supported by fully integrated mechanical and

electrical engineering . The facility includes a 30 , 000 - square - foot

warehouse and a four - storey of f ice building , both designed to meet

the operational needs of a growing energy services organization while

advancing sustainability goals .

The LRL Atlantic team provided the complete design of the building ’ s

mechanical and electrical systems , excluding the geothermal loops

and sprinkler system . The team ’ s scope of work included all interior

mechanical systems - plumbing , HVAC , and ventilation – as well as

electrical power distribution , lighting , f ire alarm systems , and a backup

generator to ensure continuity of critical operations .

The warehouse features in - f loor radiant heating supported by a

geothermal water - sour

ce heat pump system and is fully equipped

for electric forklift operations , including dedicated battery - charging

areas and specialized ventilation . The of f ice building is served by

high - ef f iciency variable refrigerant f low ( VRF ) systems with heat

recovery , with dedicated systems on each f loor and supplemental

cooling for electrical rooms . Electric vehicle charging stations

for company vehicles and staf f further support low - emission

transportation .

Together , these integrated systems demonstrate how thoughtful

mechanical and electrical design can deliver a resilient , fully electric

facility that prioritizes energy performance , occupant comfort , and

long - term operational reliability .
