This report provides an overview of our sustainable commitments
and objectives, highlighting the positive impacts for all of Englobe’s
key stakeholders. This includes our team members and collaborators,
our clients, service providers, suppliers, industry regulators, and
professional bodies, the communities where we work and live, and
the overall environment that we all share.
Why this report matters
At Englobe, we understand that our activities directly and indirectly
inf luence the environment and society at large. Our approach is f irmly
rooted in the principles of sustainability.
As an environmental and engineering company, we take responsibility
for openly sharing our progress on environmental, social, and governance
(ESG) matters. The importance of these topics continues to grow and
is drawing signif icant attention from investors, clients, and collaborators
across the business landscape. We believe that transparency and
integrity are essential to maintaining conf idence and long-term
relationships with our many stakeholders.
We acknowledge that sustainability is a multifaceted, constantly evolving
subject. As a result, Englobe is dedicated to remaining both responsive
and resilient in the face of emerging developments and challenges.
Report boundaries
This document marks the publication of our f irst formal Sustainability
Report, structured around the three core ESG themes (environment,
social, governance). While this is our f irst report in this format, it builds
on the foundation of the three Englobe Impact Reports released since
2021, which ref lected our early progress and intentions toward enhancing
responsible business practices. In 2023, we formalized our approach by
launching a comprehensive Sustainability plan based on f ive key pillars
that now guide our strategic actions.
Over the years, we have welcomed many new companies into our
organization. Some of these f irms have fully integrated into Englobe’s
systems while others are still in transition. Where applicable, this report
clearly indicates whether information includes or excludes data from
these acquired entities.
The reporting period covered in this document extends from January 1 to
December 31, 2024. All disclosures and data presented in this report have
undergone internal quality assurance reviews to ensure they are accurate
and reliable to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication.
In addition, the report’s content was formally reviewed and validated
by Englobe’s subject matter experts and approved by our Executive
ESG Committee, ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities and
operational context. Our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data was
independently audited by the external f irm MNP, further underscoring
the credibility and integrity of our reporting.
How will our reporting evolve?
Since 2023, we have been proud members of the United Nations
Global Compact, aligning our practices with its ten principles on human
rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.
We recognize the importance of other formal frameworks or standards
such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the IFRS Sustainability
Disclosure Standards issued by the International Sustainability Standards
Board (ISSB), and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). Although we
are not currently reporting under these frameworks, we continue to
actively evaluate their relevance and key performance indicators (KPIs)
in ef fectively measuring and communicating our progress. Moving
forward, we plan to ref ine future reports to ref lect our alignment with
any additional selected standards and to further enhance transparency
and accountability.
Land acknowledgement
As of December 31, 2024, Englobe has more than 70 of f ices across
the country. We acknowledge our of f ices reside on traditional, treaty,
and unceded territories that are part of Turtle Island and are still
home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. We believe that
fostering meaningful relationships with these Nations is a step toward
reconciliation, grounded in shared values and principles.
