When legacy meets vision:
laying the foundation for a sustainable future
At Englobe, sustainability is not a trend. Rather, it is deeply embedded
in our history and legacy, and a fundamental part of who we are as a
company. From our earliest days and long before environment, social and
governance (ESG) became a widely recognized corporate framework,
Englobe was rooted in a deep sense of responsibility to the communities
we serve and to the planet we all share.
For decades, our teams across Canada have worked to restore, protect,
and strengthen the environment through our engineering, remediation,
and consulting services. In late 2023, we formalized this legacy by
launching our f irst company-wide Sustainability Plan. Aligned with f ive
ESG principles, this plan ref lects not only our ambitions but also the
structure and discipline required to achieve them.
Our f irst-ever Sustainability Report in this new format, and fourth overall
Impact Report, is both a nod back at our roots as well as a signif icant
milestone in charting how we communicate our progress, commitments,
and future vision.
A rich history and the work ahead
Given our rich history, we understand that our work must continue in a
structured and coherent way. 2024 was a pivotal year of preparation as
we set the stage to elevate our impact to a greater level. Throughout the
year, we took meaningful steps to formalize and strengthen our approach
to sustainability, with a particular focus on building the tools, procedures,
and other foundational elements required to embed sustainability into
every level of our operations:
—We hired our f irst ESG Director in 2024. One of the f irst steps taken
under this new leadership was the establishment of an internal ESG
Steering Committee. This structure ensures that environmental, social,
and governance considerations are embedded into our strategic
decision-making and operational processes across all business units.

We recognize the importance of diverse perspectives in building
a more innovative, resilient, and equitable future, particularly in
traditionally underrepresented areas like Indigenous communities
and STEM professions. That’s why as part of our commitment to
fairness and inclusion, Englobe proudly joined Women in Governance,
reinforcing our ef forts to support the advancement of women in
engineering, environmental sciences, and other technical f ields.

In parallel, we continued to invest in our digital infrastructure to ensure
the security and resilience of our operations. With cybersecurity
threats evolving rapidly, we have prioritized the development of robust
safeguards and response protocols to protect our people, our clients,
and our digital assets.
This work has helped us lay the groundwork for the future. But make
no mistake: there’s much more on the horizon. The coming years will be
transformative for Englobe as we continue to deepen our environmental
practices, strengthen our social commitments, and reinforce the
governance structures that will support lasting change. Together, these
initiatives ref lect our unshakable conviction that strong governance,
inclusive growth, and digital resilience are essential pillars of a
sustainable future.
I hope you enjoy reading this report.
