Englobe deeply values mutual respect, understanding, and
meaningful collaboration with our Indigenous partners. In practice,
this commitment translates into actively striving to create and expand
employment opportunities for local residents and communities involved
in our projects across Canada.
Whenever possible, we work directly with Council, Elders, and other
community members at the start of our projects to build meaningful
relationships and to enhance benef its to the project, community, and
region. We also invest in hiring, training, and supporting Indigenous
communities and their residents.
Englobe is committed to fostering impactful relationships by:
—Following our established First Nations Relations Policy
—Having an Indigenous Relations Manager to develop meaningful
partnerships with Indigenous organizations
—Of fering in-person and virtual awareness trainings to all team
members
—Delivering environmental trainings through the BEAHR Program
to contribute to the development of transferable skills
—Being members of the Canadian Council for Indigenous
Businesses (CCIB)
Through these and other initiatives, we continue to foster close ties with
Indigenous communities to collaboratively complete projects right across
Canada, as we have for more than 30 years.
